When the downdraft stops pulling

Burners blowing out

A strong downdraft pulls air across the surface, and a low gas flame can be drawn sideways or snuffed out. That is an interaction to set up correctly, not necessarily a burner fault.

Where burners also light poorly or flame unevenly, ports and electrodes are cleaned or replaced, and gas work is leak-tested before relighting. Lowering the vent speed while simmering is a sensible owner adjustment.
