Fisher & Paykel owns DCS, and its own ranges share engineering with that professional line: robust burners, individually replaceable igniters and electrodes, and elements that can be changed without disturbing much else. The control architecture on top is Fisher & Paykel's own.

Fisher & Paykel Range repair across Greater Boston
The upshot is a range in which almost every wear part is a separate item. A fault stays confined to the component that failed, and the diagnosis is about finding it, not deciding whether the whole range has had its day.
Sparking without lighting
A burner that clicks and never catches usually has an electrode fouled with residue or sitting slightly out of position relative to the cap. Refitting the cap exactly as designed, after cleaning it cold, is worth trying. If the burner still refuses, the electrode, its lead or the spark module needs testing, and that is technician work.
One burner clicking while the rest behave points to that burner. All of them sparking together points toward the module or a wet switch.
Oven heat: seal before sensor
Fisher & Paykel ovens are often suspected of thermostat trouble when the real cause is escaping heat. A gasket that has lost its spring, or a hinge that no longer draws the door tight, can pull a cavity well off its setting with no electrical fault at all.
So we check the door first, then the sensor's resistance, then the elements and their relays.
Electric cooktops
On electric-top models, each radiant zone is regulated by its own switch, and a worn switch leaves a zone stuck at one output or dead.
It is replaced from above or behind the controls, usually with the range left in place.
Questions
FAQ — Fisher & Paykel Range repair
Can't see yours? Just ask us.
Are DCS parts compatible with my Fisher & Paykel range?
Some burner and ignition parts are shared, reflecting the common engineering, but not all. We match parts to your model number.
Why does my Fisher & Paykel oven take longer to heat than it used to?
An element may have failed, leaving the oven to heat on the others, or the door may be leaking warmth. Both are simple to confirm on a visit.
Should an oven thermometer match the display exactly?
Not precisely. Ovens cycle above and below the set point, so a single reading will vary; a consistently large gap is what points to a fault.
