Manufacturers we service
LG divides the work of a range between two boards, one looking after the surface and one after the cavity. That is why owners so often describe a cooktop that has gone quiet while the oven still bakes normally, and why we never read that picture as the appliance reaching the end of its life.

LG Range repair across Greater Boston
Many LG ranges can also play a coded tone into the manufacturer's app when the phone is held near the panel. Doing that while you are booking gives the technician a head start, because a code pointing at the surface board and one pointing at the oven sensor send us in different directions with different parts.
When an element will not switch off
The LG fault that alarms people most is a radiant element glowing at full output with the control set to off. Almost always, a relay on the surface board has welded its contacts shut, and that is a safety issue rather than an annoyance. Turn the range off at the breaker and leave it off until the board has been examined.
The opposite complaint, an element that never heats, divides between the element itself, its wiring and a relay that has stopped closing. A meter across the element terminals settles which within minutes.
Gas and dual-fuel models: sparks and ports
On LG gas ranges, a burner that clicks but will not catch usually has a fouled spark igniter or ports clogged with boil-over. Lifting off the cold cap and brushing the burner head clean is a reasonable owner check. Anything past the cap and head, including the valve, the manifold and the supply line, stays with the technician.
Dual-fuel LG models put gas burners over an electric cavity, and the two sides share little beyond the cabinet and the power feeding the spark module. A cold oven on one of these is an electrical diagnosis even though the burners above run on gas.
Oven heat and sensor drift
Bake and broil elements do fail on LG ovens, often visibly with a blister or split in the sheath. When both elements test sound and the oven still runs hot or cool, the sensor becomes the suspect; it can slide gradually out of calibration and drag every recipe off with it. Before blaming either, we look at the door seal, because a gasket that has pulled away lets heat out faster than the elements can make it.
Each of those checks is quick, and together they keep a temperature complaint from turning into a board replacement.
Questions
FAQ — LG Range repair
Can't see yours? Just ask us.
Is the app diagnosis worth doing before the visit?
Yes, where your model supports it. It takes a couple of minutes and can point us at the right board before we arrive, which improves the chance of finishing in one visit.
My LG oven works but the cooktop is dead. Is it worth repairing?
Usually. Because the surface runs on its own board, the fix is confined to that board, a relay or an element, and the oven's parts are untouched.
Why does my dual-fuel LG oven stay cold when the burners light?
The burners need only gas and a spark, whereas the oven needs its full electrical supply, elements, sensor and board. A tripped breaker or a lost supply leg can silence the oven while the top carries on, so checking the breaker is the right first move.
