Manufacturers we service
Amana is the plain end of the Whirlpool family: the same core engineering, fewer electronics and simpler trim. That makes an Amana range quick to diagnose, and most of its faults come down to a switch, an element or an ignition part rather than anything exotic.

Amana Range repair across Greater Boston
The flip side is that a new Amana is not a large outlay either. The point where repair stops making sense arrives earlier than on a premium range, and we tell you where yours sits once the failed part is named.
Amana ranges that bake but will not broil
Owners are often puzzled when the oven bakes perfectly but the grill no longer glows. The two are separate elements on separate circuits, so one can burn out while the other carries on. The broil element sees the harshest duty, particularly during self-clean, and it is a common, inexpensive replacement.
Where both elements test good and the oven still misbehaves, the thermostat or sensor and the control relay are next in line.
An element that will not turn down
A surface element glowing flat out with the knob at low has a switch whose contacts have welded together. It cannot be trusted to turn off either, so leave the range off at the breaker until the switch is replaced.
The part itself is modest and, on this platform, easy to obtain, so this is one of the quicker Amana visits.
Gas Amana models
Gas Amana ranges light their surface burners with a spark module. When every burner clicks at once and will not stop, spilled liquid in a switch or a failing module is the usual cause, and letting a wet cooktop dry out can end it. If it does not, the module and switches need testing.
The oven on gas models uses the familiar igniter and safety valve pairing, tested by current draw. Gas connections, valves and the burner assemblies are for a technician only.
Questions
FAQ — Amana Range repair
Can't see yours? Just ask us.
Should I repair or replace my Amana range?
If the fault is one switch, element or igniter, repair usually makes sense. If several parts have failed on an older range, or the control board is the problem, the sums can favour replacement, and we will say so plainly.
Are Amana parts easy to find?
Yes. Because the range shares Whirlpool's platform, most mechanical parts are common to sister badges and widely stocked.
Do I pay for the diagnosis if I decide against the repair?
The diagnostic fee applies either way, but if you go ahead it is credited against the agreed repair price.
