Electrodes that won't stop

Each Thor burner has its own spark electrode. Grease or water on one of them can keep the whole ignition system clicking after the flame has caught, and a cracked electrode sparks weakly or to the wrong point.

Dry, clean and reseat the burner first. Beyond that, the electrode, its lead and the switch behind the knob are tested and replaced as needed.

Flame that favours one side

A burner weak on one side of the grate usually has ports obstructed by spills, or a cap that doesn't sit square. High-output burners spatter more, so this is common on well-used Thor cooktops.
