Condensing all-in-ones in small flats

Many Kendall and Harvard Square flats use a ventless combination unit or a condenser dryer. Instead of blowing moist air out of the building, these machines cool it and drain away the water. When they stop drying, the usual cause is a clogged condenser path or a lint filter packed with fluff, not a failed heater.

Mill conversions and frame two-families

In the East Cambridge conversions the duct runs through masonry that no one is going to re-cut. The outlet was designed once and has probably never been inspected since. Lint builds up at the hood and in the masonry sleeve, so we clean and test the route that exists.
