A heat-pump dryer recirculates its air, drawing moisture out over a condenser and pumping the water away. It does not use a conventional element or send anything outdoors. Because the moisture never leaves the house as vapour, installation needs only power and a way to deal with the collected water.

That changes where we look entirely. Lint coating the condenser can mimic a heating fault exactly, and no amount of duct cleaning would help.
Condenser and filters
Blomberg heat-pump dryers depend on clean lint filters and a clear condenser. When these clog, drying slows, the cabinet warms and the machine may stop with a warning.
Cleaning the filters as the manual describes is a safe first step. A condenser that is heavily coated needs more careful attention. We rinse the condenser properly and inspect the fins for damage before any sensor is tested.
The condensate path
The water removed from the laundry is pumped to a drain or collected in a container. A blocked hose, a full container or a failing condensate pump stops the cycle.
We check the whole path and test the pump when water is not clearing. Only then is the heat-pump circuit itself examined. On plumbed installations, a drain hose pinched when the stack was pushed back into the closet is a frequent find.
Closet access
These dryers often sit in tight closets, stacked on top of a matching washer. Taking them down, testing them and putting them back correctly is part of every job.
We factor that into the single agreed price so there is no surprise at the end. Many Blomberg pairs sit in the laundry cupboards of two-family and brick walk-up conversions around the city.
Questions
FAQ — Blomberg Dryer repair
Can't see yours? Just ask us.
What makes a Blomberg condenser dryer drag on for hours?
Most often a clogged condenser or filters. The sealed heat-pump circuit is checked only after those have been ruled out. Temperature sensors that drift can also lengthen the cycle, and they are measured once the air path is clear.
Does a heat-pump dryer need a vent?
No. It condenses the moisture and drains it, so there is no outside duct to clean. That also means the long exhaust runs through old brick that trouble vented dryers are not a factor here.
My Blomberg dryer stopped with a water warning. What does that mean?
The condensate container may be full or the pump blocked. Empty the container and check the drain hose before booking.
