Checking the outside end

On every no-heat call, the technician inspects the outside hood. A flap seized by corrosion traps heat and moisture, and the last short section of pipe collects salt along with lint. Cleaning the inside of the dryer changes nothing while that outlet is closed.

We replace corroded hoods with parts suited to marine exposure, clear the short run and measure airflow. Only then do we test the thermal fuse, thermostats and heating circuit.

Is a certificate really needed?
