Thermador belongs to the BSH family alongside Bosch and Gaggenau, and its parts and service documentation come through that channel. For owners, that means better availability than a luxury badge might suggest.

Thermador Oven · Greater Boston
Thermador Oven repair across Greater Boston
Its professional ranges carry components found nowhere else in the group, most visibly the star burner, whose flame spreads out from several points rather than one ring.
Star burners that light unevenly
A Thermador star burner with some ports clogged still lights, just unevenly, with certain points burning short or lazy. Owners tend to suspect gas pressure, yet the ports or the igniter are nearly always responsible.
Cleaning the burner and checking the electrode and spark module restores an even flame. Supply pressure is only examined once those have been ruled out.
The spark path
Each burner's electrode is fed from a spark module. A cracked electrode or a failing module shows as weak sparking, clicking that will not stop, or burners that catch only on the second or third attempt.
We test the module output and inspect every electrode before replacing anything, because a single cracked ceramic can make a healthy module look faulty. Moisture from a boil-over produces the same clicking temporarily, so we ask whether anything was spilled recently.
Oven sensor and heavy doors
In the cavity, sensor drift is the usual reason an oven no longer matches its setting. It creeps slowly, so recipes start failing long before an error appears on the display.
Thermador oven doors are weighty and their hinge springs fatigue, letting heat out along the top edge. Spring tension and seal condition are checked alongside the sensor, since either can produce the same result.
Questions
FAQ — Thermador Oven repair
Can't see yours? Just ask us.
Will my Thermador wall oven need to be pulled out?
Only if a rear component is involved. Because it is built into joinery, any removal is planned in advance and done with care for the surrounding cabinets. Most sensor, element and hinge work is carried out with the oven left in its housing.
Why is part of my star burner flame shorter than the rest?
Some ports are partly blocked by spills or cleaning residue. It is a cleaning and inspection job in most cases, not a gas-supply fault. Avoid pushing cleaning pins or wire into the ports, since damaged ports make the unevenness permanent.
Are Thermador parts hard to get?
Generally not, as they come through the BSH network. Less common parts may carry a lead time, which we state at the diagnosis.
