JennAir is Whirlpool's luxury line. Hinges, elements and sensors are often the same as KitchenAid or Whirlpool pieces; the boards and fascias are JennAir's alone.

JennAir Oven repair across Greater Boston
What sets it apart is extraction pulled down through the cooktop itself. When a JennAir owner reports smoke or lingering smells, we check whether the ventilation path is doing its job before blaming the oven below it.
Downdraft: blower, damper or duct
Weak extraction is just as likely to be a jammed flap or a blocked duct as a burnt-out fan. The duct travels under the floor or through a cabinet, and debris or a crushed section cuts airflow sharply.
We test the blower, observe the damper and trace the duct where it is accessible. That keeps a ventilation repair from being mistaken for a cooking one. Owners can safely check that the removable filter over the downdraft vent is clean, since a clogged one reduces draw noticeably.
The cavity: sensor, relays and doors
JennAir ovens that run cold are either failing to make heat or failing to keep it. A drifting sensor or a relay on the element circuit covers the first; fatigued hinge springs on heavy built-in doors cover the second.
A probe in the cavity tells us which, and the door is examined before any board is considered. On double wall ovens, one cavity failing while the other works points at that cavity's own element, sensor or relay rather than anything shared.
Touch controls
Touch and display boards on JennAir equipment are badge-specific, so they are dearer and sometimes slower to obtain than the shared mechanical parts. We localise the fault before ordering.
If only part of the panel has failed, the display assembly or its connection is checked before the main board. Because these parts are unique to the badge, confirming the fault before ordering avoids paying for an expensive component that turns out to be healthy.
Questions
FAQ — JennAir Oven repair
Can't see yours? Just ask us.
My JennAir downdraft has stopped pulling. Is the blower dead?
Possibly, but a stuck damper or blocked duct is just as common. We test all three before recommending a part.
Can KitchenAid parts be used on my JennAir oven?
Mechanical parts often cross over. Control boards and panels are specific to JennAir and are ordered against its model number. That split is what keeps many JennAir oven repairs closer in cost to a KitchenAid than the nameplate suggests.
Will my built-in JennAir oven need to be removed?
Only if a rear component needs attention. Removal from cabinetry is planned in advance so the surrounding joinery is protected.
