Hair, grit and heavy loads

Horse hair and arena grit pass through the drum and collect in the pump filter, producing not draining, a burning smell from a straining pump motor and, eventually, drain pump failure. Heavy wet blankets unbalance the drum and wear the shock absorbers.

Shake out blankets thoroughly, wash them in a bag, and clean the filter after every barn load. We replace worn suspension and pumps when needed.
